New video complete
The MondoChallenge Foundation has completed a new video profiling its work in the HIV/AIDS livelihoods programmes, in particular the small grants scheme. These are running in northern Tanzania and 300 families have already been supported.
Local Tanzanians as well as western volunteers have been involved, providing business training and support to the small businesses chosen to receive grants.
The average grant is £80 and this is used to buy stock, equipment, materials for tailoring, sewing machines, poultry etc. 90% of the families supported are running successfully after 12 months. "The money and help have given me so much help and hope. Now I can provide for my small family. I have the will to live!" Paulina in Tanzania.
