About the Foundation

Who are we?

The MondoChallenge Foundation was officially registered by the Charity Commissioners in October 2004. So far we have raised more than £350,000 to support education and business development in nine countries across the developing world.

What are our aims?

We believe in the powerful combination of community based programmes and business support projects, all with MondoChallenge™ volunteers present on the ground to guide and monitor donations. This enables us to act quickly, with the support and help of local people, on grassroots projects that make a huge difference to people's lives.

Together with the volunteers, we are working towards the relief of sickness and financial hardship, either generally or individually, in various parts of the world by:

  1. Making grants of money to provide for items, services or facilities for the relief of the sick and poor, including the provision of business loans
  2. The provision of vocational and skills training, advice and support
  3. The provision of educational resources including teacher training, school buildings and equipment

Where do we work?

Worldwide - In schools, businesses and the wider community in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Kenya, The Gambia, Senegal, Chile and Ecuador:

How can I help?

If you would like to make a donation please visit our page on Just Giving.com.

You could also become a regular donor and key part of our activity by donating via standing order. You can download a form below, which should be posted to us (the address is on the form and also on the "Contact" page on the website). Included in the form is an opportunity to agree to Gift Aid: this entitles the Foundation to claim tax on your donation, which effectively gives us an extra 28p for every £1 you donate!

Another way to help is to donate some of your time. If you are interested in this please visit www.mondochallenge.org to find out more about volunteering opportunities.
